Aim: to understand the format for alternative styles in writing for the first and last paragraph of an essay.
Method: top & down method – you can modify the order of sentences
Objective 1: Introduction – write a draft introduction to:
- give an opinion statement (one sentence) about the topic
- identify the main points (information in body paragraphs)
- identify some similar or differences for each body paragraph (main points)
Objective 2: Conclusion – write a draft conclusion to:
- give the significance for knowing more about this topic
- mention some interesting point or fact or opinion about the information you researched, or learned about
- summerise what the subject is about
- restate your final opinion
