Objectives: These are our course objectives
- A textbook or sufficient materials will be used that encourages discussion: The teacher will provide you with themes (there is no textbook for this class).
- The reading materials will be related (linked) to the liberal arts or the students’ major field. For Example: Agriculture, Engineering, and Veterinary science

Aim: To make a Poster for your Unit work;
Method: Using word document and Landscape layout
Procedure: follow these steps;
- Task 3: 5 main points, see template;
- Poster word count (100-115words)
- You must include: sentences; bullet points; and pictures

Language Objectives: think about the following;
- The order of your main points; video order is okay OR your own order – what do you think is best?
- Review the video again: and of check your vocabulary (word list).
- Use the CEFR discourse analyzer (appli) to check your level of language – improve your words and level
- Read aloud – check the comprehension – is it easy to understand?
- Connection between your words to the pictures
Nov 30th Unit 5 Speech
Aim: To write a 30 second speech using 3 slides
Procedure: Use the content from your responses (task 1 to task5) to report on the following statement:
Statement: “The importance of my own well being”
Method: How do you answer the response?
- Select information from your content – you can not use all the information, because there is a time limit (30 seconds)
- Content organization: prepare information for each slide carefully – what information are you going to us (or not use), and which slides?
- Slide format and layout; slide type; titles; text – sentences or bullet points
Homework: follow these instructions;
- Finish your slides
- Practice and check the time (30seconds)
- Use the discourse appli at home – check your vocabulary level (LINE me anytime)
Tips: you can follow these ideas if you want to;
- start with a slide for text and a slide for pictures (any number of slides)
- have 2 versions; make a slide 1a version / a slide 1b version – select the best slide
- read your slide content constantly and record the time (time total) – then decide the time you want for each slide; (slide1 – 10 seconds; slide2 – 10 seconds; slide3 – 10 seconds), OR different times for each slide (8; 10; 12) *Base your time on the content
