Format
- Title & Author – separated as main author (1st name) the other authors
- Introduction – provides details about the purpose of the paper and reviews / introduces each section
- Micro teaching (section 2) and sub sections 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 – are research subjects related to this study (research)
- 2.5 Research Question(s) – If there are two RQ’s – 1 is the initial research for the purpose of the study (decided before the study starts); 2 is a more specific question related to results (decided after the research starts)
- Always – section 3 is the method of the study. It is the how you do your study, where you do the study and also the reason for doing the study. Also, how you will collect the data of the study, and how you will analysis of the study.
- Section 4 – is the Results. Usually the results are presented for the research question(s). Results for RQ 1, then RQ2. The results are shown in text and also visual for example Plot graphs (in this case). For results (RQ2) the actual discourse (text conversation or feedback) is shown to provide results,
- In addition – Visual recording of the results was provided using a software program to create a tree diagram – I had mixed result data format (graph and student discourse), so I decided to make a format in tree digram to combine the results.
- Section 5 – Analysis of the results – what I think the results mean, and I also try and answer the RQ’s – by Drawing Conclusion of the results based on the information in section 2, because these people I reference in section 2 are the SE (Subject Experts). Its my opinion of the results, which I discuss, and relate to the SEs.
- Section 6 – Conclusion: links to the introduction as a summary of all the content
- References – 22 articles I read to create my research. FYI this research took me 2 years, while I have a full time job!
Subject (content)
How do we know what the content is of an article or report is?
- Read the introduction first, then the Methodology (S3), then read Section 2 – contains the connection of different content related to each of the content (sub sections)
- Next look at the articles in the Reference section at the end of the Manuscript, read the Titles of the research that was used to make this research.
- Scanning – a method where you read the Topic Sentence of a paragraph (first sentence); final sentence in a paragraph (summary of the content; Reading the visual data in diagrams, graphs and so on
- Discussion (S5) and Results (S4) – will give you deeper understanding of the content
- If you want to know more about this article and subject content, then read some other articles, from the reference section.
