Aim: How to read and use a text for research

Method: I will make some recommendations for you about how to read a text for research;

Word limit 450words

  • Photocopy the text and highlight the main information
  • Keep a list of topic vocabulary
  • Make a list of English and Japanese for difficult words
  • Write sentences that explain information
  • At the end of each book section; write your thoughts or ideas in English
  • At the end of the book, re-read sections of the book you want to study more deeply
  • Then research other sources of information; website or video
  • Complete the same note taking of these sources
  • Think about information that supports the textbook (National Geographic) information – main source
  • Keep your notes organized – write them clearly.
