Aim: How to read and use a text for research
Method: I will make some recommendations for you about how to read a text for research;
Word limit 450words
- Photocopy the text and highlight the main information
- Keep a list of topic vocabulary
- Make a list of English and Japanese for difficult words
- Write sentences that explain information
- At the end of each book section; write your thoughts or ideas in English
- At the end of the book, re-read sections of the book you want to study more deeply
- Then research other sources of information; website or video
- Complete the same note taking of these sources
- Think about information that supports the textbook (National Geographic) information – main source
- Keep your notes organized – write them clearly.
