July 15: Aim: writing about graphs

Task 1 Topics

Task 2. Find your graph and read the information

Task 3: Writing the graph information – 5 sentences

  • The title of the graph is “Number of overseas tourists in Japan”
  • The x axis (horizontal or bottom line) is the Year. The years is from 2003 to 2023.
  • The y axis (vertical line or up and down) is the Number of People. This number is Millions (M)
  • The summary of results show an increase in people visiting Japan.
  • One specific result is in 2019, 30 Million people visited Japan. Another result is that in 2023, 25 Million people visited Japan.

There is one more final point to finish this graph. It is to give your opinion (What do you think?) Any answer is okay – there is no wrong answer!

  • Positive Point: One positive point is that a lot of visitors to Japan spend a lot of money.
  • Negative Point: One negative point is some places become very crowded on weekends.

HomeWork: Please writ your graph details (5 sentences) in Task 3; save your graph (take a screenshot).

Sub-Topic: A subtopic is part of (small part) of a topic. For example: Unit 3 topic is transport[travel]ation – how we travel. We travel by car, bus, train, bicycle / motorbike, and we also walk.

Task 5: What kind of transportation do you do? Explain your answer (35-45 words)

Teacher example: I often travel by car. When I go to school/s I drive my car. I also use the bus near my house because it is easy to go shopping and also go to the library and sports park. My hobby is bike riding so sometime I ride to school. Usually I ride my bike with friends on the weekend. I never walk anywhere.
