1. select a topic from the ICT course

2. Do you have an idea about the topic, for example; I think that HW should not be required in Primary school

3. Write a narrow based essay focusing on one specific point, for example HW Vs Kids playing in the park

4. Your focus is not to talk about the negative points of your topic, for example HW, rather, you should focus on the positive points of kids playing in the park. If you focus on the negatives too much the reader is less likely to believe you.

5. Group your positive points into categories, for example; facts of information; common views and opinions; your experiences; subject’s positive views and outcomes. Write paragraphs based on these categories. You can be less balanced in the number of sentences your write or your word count.

6. Statistical information; after you have grouped your information, search for 2 or 3 light statistical information to help support your ideas. You will use these in the above paragraphs.
