We need to know the these steps and practice it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Task: <\/strong>READING SKILL <strong>Previewing<\/strong>: it is important to preview (check) the text before you start reading. Because we want to know what the text is about? For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Read the Title: understand the meaning; use your dictionary to help you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read the headings: these are main points of the text information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read other captions (sub-headings) of text; pictures; diagrams<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Question: <\/strong><em>Can you understand what the text is about?<\/em> Please try to understand everything about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Task 2: <\/strong>Make a list of everything you can see in this webpage p.4-5: Title \/ headings \/ pictures \/ captions \/ questions &#8211; answers \/ &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Title : The Winter Hill Career Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Headings: The right job for you \/ What are your interests and skills \/ What jobs match your interests and skills \/ Visit us to make your career plan!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Captions \/ Pictures: Type 1 to Type 6 \/ Job pictures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information: Text \/ Check mark and [ ]check boxes \/ Questions and Answers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Task 3:<\/strong> Read [ all of the text ] one time. Understand the text and ideas!! Read another time (repeat) and highlight the words you don&#8217;t understand &#8211; highlight pen.  Next check the <mark style=\"background-color:#ffe5d1\" class=\"has-inline-color\">meanings of these words<\/mark> using your computer. Google \/ Weblio \/ &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Question: <\/strong>What is this website (text) about? Please write (20-30\/40-50 words). We write the main points (MP). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>MP1: Is &#8230;..<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MP2: Is &#8230;..<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To conclude (finish) &#8230;..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffe5d1\" class=\"has-inline-color\">***Why do we work in pairs? or small groups?<\/mark> to HELP each other with ideas \/ English \/ to understand \/ with anything !!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Task:<\/strong> Read [ all of the text ] with your partner &#8211; read different sections each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HOMEWORK before next class<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review the Reading; check the meaning \/ ideas \/ words &#8230; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 or 2 times Read aloud &#8211; focus is not to make any mistakes [Accuracy]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exercises page 7 &#8211; B \/ <mark style=\"background-color:#ffe5d1\" class=\"has-inline-color\">C<\/mark> \/ D. 1) Exercise C. 2) please do (B). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, do exercise (D) and match the work type with the picture (occupation).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Last, think about the topic. Which work type are you? Write about 30-50 words Task 4: response<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example: I think I am work type [ &#8230; ]. I have a few reasons why. Reason 1 is [ &#8230; ]. Reason 2 is [ &#8230; ]. Because we want to know what the text is about? For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Read the Title: understand the meaning; use your dictionary to help you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read the headings: these are main points of the text information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read other captions (sub-headings) of text; pictures; diagrams &#8211; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interview passage Q \/ A<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 questions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 responses (A)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 pictures of different jobs; what is your image of the pictures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>word key<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Reading Method:<\/strong> The person asking the questions is an interviewer (reporter); the person responding is talking about their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>highlight or underline the words you do not know? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>check the dictionary \/ google \/ weblio \/ &#8230; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>write the Japanese word or meaning in the passage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Objective:<\/strong> to connect the reading passage 1 and 2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>go to page 6 and in your groups select a job &#8211; different than your group members<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <strong>Task 5 Title: Interview<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write the first Q1.
