Reading a Table<\/strong>: American standard<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/unistudy.net\/sogo\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2026\/06\/IMG_2818-1024x741.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1379\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The title of this Table is \u201cVacation Days per Year\u201d per=every<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Short Description: reading left to right; 1) The left side has 8 countries, 2) From there there is information in order starting with Average =====employees give, next Average =====employee takes, and finally 3) Not used days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark>Detail (Line 1): In Brazil they have an average of 30days vacation (1), they take an average of 30 days (2), and there are no days left (3).<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Line (2-8): \u2026 write the details for every country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Results (the groups and details) (Task 4)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark>Task Activity: select countries and write the sentences<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Task Activity Title: Evaluation: groups \/ grouping method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Step 1: decide the result \u2013 what is the result?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 2: what groups can you see \u2013 think about it?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 3: make the groups [***Hint \u2013 there are three groups of countries]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Teacher example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In group 1 \/ For group 1 : there are no days vacation left. These countries include Brazil, Canada and France.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In group 2 \/ For group 2 : there are a few days vacation left. There are four countries and they are Malaysia, Mexico, UK and the US. The days left are between 1 to 4 days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In group 3 \/ For group 3 : there are a lot of days vacation left. There is only one country Japan [ and they only take half the numbers of days vacation \/ and take 10 days only vacation ]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Task 5 Title Graph Report<\/strong>&nbsp;write a short report about the information for the 3 groups [try with no smartphone and pc]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Task 6 Title<\/strong>: <strong>Reflection<\/strong> What&#8217;s your impression about Japan&#8217;s data. Write what you think<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HOMEWORK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Find a Table about another topic (todays topic about Vacation). Including Japan and other countries. Write a short report (50-75 words). A4 paper!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next lesson: show your table, and read your report to your group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quiz 7<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>JUNE 17<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Task XTitle : Graphs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/unistudy.net\/sogo\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2026\/05\/IMG_2473-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1322\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Activity<\/strong>: making sentences;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>make sentences about the data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>experiment with sentence patterns &#8211; by trying<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>listen and think about the pattern<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>which sentence do you like? what is the effect or expression <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reverse method &#8211; grammar focus!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a method to re-word the data headings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a method to give an evaluation of the data &#8211; for example: The worst reason &#8230; \/ The number 1 reason&#8230; \/ The highest response &#8230;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>give your opinion &#8211; for example: I was surprised that&#8230; \/ <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Summary<\/strong>: Facts of Information (FOI)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>we can use the internet to research for information and by using video \/ journals \/ newspapers \/ \u2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if we copy text\/sentences from the internet we use \u201c<mark>quotation marks<\/mark>\u201d and we write the&nbsp;<mark>URL Heading\/Title<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tables and Graphs also give a lot of information &#8211; reducing the information is helpful<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>we can write the sentences using a lot of grammar \/ methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be clear and easy to understand (you do not need complex sentences!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>we can use numbers \/ % \/ describing words \u2013 half \/ all of them \u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">***remember to learn the key words (topic words) called vocabulary \/ phrases (short sentences) \/ grammar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Task 2 Title<\/strong>:&nbsp;<strong>Reflection<\/strong>&nbsp;What\u2019s your impression about Japan\u2019s data.
