Reducing Carbon Dioxide Emissions

Aim: To listen to the video and research for more information (Website) on the internet

Method: Teacher instruction in class: Combine (together) information

Advice: Here is some ideas for you to think about how to research information in an English class

  • Search for English information, before Japanese information
  • google.com
  • google (chrome) has a setting for language – you can read a website in Japanese or English (switch between the two languages) / online services for dictionary and translation

*online translation is not always accurate (there are mistakes) / always write your own sentences

Write three paragraphs

Video: Paragraph 1 (80-150words)

  1. Explain the topic video
  2. What is the main concern (problem or issue)
  3. Give a main point (1) about the problem or issue
  4. Write a support sentence to explain (1) more…
  5. Make a short list of these problems / issues
  6. What are the solutions
  7. What is your impression about the topic – your opinion

Website: Paragraph 2 (80words): Research the internet and find a website about the topic: any topic about it is okay. Write a summary

Graph Information: Paragraph 3

  1. Search for a graph related to the topic
